Program Overview
The AIIMSEI Junior Fellows Program is an invitation-only extracurricular leadership and innovation development initiative for exceptionally promising graduates and early-career scholars. Jr. Fellows are selected based on demonstrated intellectual curiosity, creativity, leadership potential, and a commitment to addressing complex societal challenges through convergent approaches spanning health, sustainability, science, engineering, technology, public policy, and community engagement. The program seeks to cultivate individuals capable of creating transformative innovations that improve human well-being while advancing sustainable and equitable futures. This 12-month, hybrid program comprises i) remote eight-month-long monthly programming to address the eight program pillars of performance. Each pillar is linked to elements of ii) a year-long, mentored capstone studio, the finale of which is iii) the in-person Great Connections Gathering.
AIIMSEI Jr. Fellows are exceptionally promising STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) selected from the three potential pools: i) post-baccalaureate persons pursuing a gap-year of enlightenment, ii) enrolled early-stage graduate students (1st year masters or Year-1 or Year-2 doctoral), and iii) early-career scholars.
